Steamfest is Back!!
The Pacific Locomotive Association is proud to announce an all steam week on the Niles Canyon Railway. Steamfest 2014 will take place between June 7th and June 15th, 2014.
During the weekends of June 7, 8, 14, & 15, there will be five operating steam locomotives, Quincy Railroad #2, Robert Dollar #3, Clover Valley #4, PLUS visiting locomotives Mason County #7, and Santa Cruz Portland Cement #2. |

Two trains will be operating on the Niles Daylight Limited schedule and a third train will run as the Hearst Flyer from Sunol to the end of track. Tickets for the Niles Daylight Trains will be available for purchase online by visiting: www.ncry.org
June 9, 10, 12, & 13 special photographers special trains will be operating.
JUNE 9
“Loggers Special”
Clover Valley No. 4 pulling a period log train followed by Mason County No. 7 and Santa Cruz Portland Cement No. 2 pulling a small passenger extra. Passenger train departs Sunol
at 9:30am for Niles. Several run-bys on the return trip from Niles. $60
JUNE 10
“Steam Powered Sunset Excursion”
Steam locomotives Santa Cruz Portland Cement No. #2 and Mason County Logging Company No. 7 will pull a passenger train the entire length of the Niles Canyon Railway. At 6:30pm, the train will depart Sunol for the end of track at Verona Rd. From there the train will return to Sunol, then head to Niles. With the sun setting, the train will wind through the beautiful Niles Canyon and arrive back in Sunol just before 9pm.
Adults $25 - Seniors (62+) $20 - Children (3+) $10
JUNE 12
“Mixed Freights”
Quincy Railroad No. 2 pulls a mixed freight train followed by Mason County No. 7 and Santa Cruz Portland Cement No. 2 with a work train.
Passenger train departs Sunol at 9:30am. Several run-bys on the return trip. $60
JUNE 13
“Quintuple Header”
Mason County No. 7, Santa Cruz Portland Cement No. 2, Quincy Railroad No. 2, Robert Dollar No. 3, and Clover Valley No. 4 pulling passenger train. 10:30am departure from Sunol, run-bys. $60
