The PLA has entered into a trade with the Oregon Coast Scenic Railway for the rebuilding of the #30's boiler.  In exchange for this work, they will receive ownership our Pickering Lumber Company Heisler #1.  On January 22, 2012, the #30's boiler and the tender of the Heisler were loaded up for the trip to Oregon.

Even though the following photos are not of the Sierra 30, they are included because they were part of the work necessary to get the #30's boiler to Oregon.

01/21/12 The crew today was Ed (crane operator), ??, Aaron, Scott, Dave, Gerald, Alan, Jim and Henry.  It was a very successful day with a whole LOT accomplished. Thanks for everyon's hard work, attention to detail and safety!
